Here we are offering ideas and resources for friendly, hands-on, home-based, life-learning fun—mainly using cards for table-top use, as visual and mental aids. The cards are intended for adult use by reinforcing life and school experiences whilst chatting, informally, with a child.

Most of what you will find here is about using or making simple tactile materials that support learning about “life–stuff”—whether you’re sharing them with an infant, a toddler, older children, or even having a go yourself.

“Life-stuff” covers a lot: speech, discipline, respect, maths, language, and above all trust between parent and child.

From now on I am going to drop the third-person style, and also adopt a 'Mother and Child' approach. This does not exclude carers, uncles, grandmas, tutors, infants, siblings, tutees...
